Directions:
WOOD PREPARATION:
Open grain may be filled with Mohawk Grain Filler or a water base grain filler.
Sand raw wood with 150 – 180 grit sand paper and remove dust. Stain sanded wood with NGR Dye or Pigmented Wiping Stain or a Waterborne Stain. Allow required drying time for each type of stain.
MIXING: --- Do NOT Shake.
Mix thoroughly with a paddle, as vigorous shaking would generate air bubbles that could become trapped in the dried film. Rockhard™ Table Top Urethane Varnish is supplied at brushing consistency and is self sealing.
APPLICATION: It is recommended that a good natural bristle brush be used for
Rockhard™ Table Top Urethane Varnish. Best results are obtained when thin uniform coats are applied with the grain. Do not over-brush by going back and forth several times.
Scuff sand with P320A – P400A Silicon Carbide Stearate Dry sandpaper between coats.
One quart covers approximately 125 sq. ft. Allow 48 hours dry time before use.
RUBBING: Depending on drying conditions and the thickness of finish applied,
allow at least 72 to 96 hours drying time before rubbing.
CLEANUP: use Mineral Spirits or Paint Thinner
Safety and Other Precautions: Read MSDS for precautions before using product.

Since the Gloss varnish has a higher solids content than the Satin,
the Gloss will cover more square feet at a given dry film thickness.
The Satin varnish solids are lower to balance film integrity, clarity,
and durability of the Satin finish.
Seal the surface and build the finish with Gloss for optimun clarity,
durability, consistent sheen, & most economical coverage.
If a satin sheen is desired use the Satin varnish on the last or top coat.
