Oil Based Pre-Stain WOOD CONDITIONER, NATURAL STAIN, and STAIN BASE
Prior to staining, apply a liberal coat of the Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner.
Allow Conditioner to penetrate for 5-15 minutes,
then wipe away the excess with a cloth.
For highly absorbent woods, you can then apply a second coat,
wait, and wipe away the excess again.
After you apply the Conditioner, apply the colored stain within two hours.

• Recoat / Dry Time: 2 hour without staining
• When Staining:
Allow Pre-Stain to dry 30 minutes before applying clolored stain,
but no longer than 2 hours.
• Cleanup: Mineral spirits
• Complete Cure Time: 30 days
• VOC: < 550 g/l (4.59 lb/gal
• Stain Recommendation: General Finishes Oil Based Wood Stains
• Topcoat Recommendations:
General Finishes oil base Arm-R-Seal, Gel Satin
or water based Enduro-Var, High Performance, or Poly Acrylic
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Pre-sealing the wood will lighten the color of your stain so test the Pre-stain and the color before starting. To achieve a darker color, a second coat of the final color stain may be applied after the first coat has dried or best results use a DYE of the same tonal range on the wood prior to the Pre-Stain.
