Mohawk BLUE LABEL PASTE WAX (Natural) With Carnauba Waxes for Furniture & Floors B800-12435
Mohawk (H. Behlen) Blue Label Paste Wax establishes and restores the original color of wood surfaces, at the same time providing a protective finish for delicate sheens. Easily applied and polished, it eliminates unsightly scratch marks, giving the surface an even color and appearance. Excellent for linoleum, marble and metals.
DIRECTIONS: 1. Clean surface with clean cloth dampened in Mineral Spirits to remove any oil, polish or old wax film.
2. Apply a thin, even coat of Blue Label Paste Wax with a soft pad or by forming a sack of two thicknesses of cheesecloth, allowing wax to penetrate through cloth under pressure of the hand.
3. For floors, apply a second coat and repeat steps 1 and 2.
NOTE: This wax dries rapidly and may be polished to luster in a few minutes. (Apply Thin Coats)
For Wax FINISHING of New Wood Floors
Fill open grain woods with Mohawk grain filler. Sandpaper and remove dust with a vacuum (and a Tack Cloth). Apply one coat of Blue Label Paste Wax, spread evenly and thin. Do not apply too much wax. Allow to dry 20 - 60 minutes and polish lightly with machine or cloth to a hard polish. If a higher polish is desired, let dry for a few hours and apply another coat of wax and polish in the same manner.

Additional Information: For superior results as a floor wax, seal the bare wood with a coat of 1.5 pound coat of shellac after using the pastewood filler. Allow the shellac to cure for 24 hours, sand as necessary, then apply the wax as above. The shellac coating will protect the wood fibers from absorbing dirt and dust that in time may work through the wax fnish. Rewax the wear areas as needed and recoat the floor anually with a new coat of BLUE LABEL wax.
