This is the antiques palette. Burgundy, dark cherry, red-brown mahogany, dark walnut, honey amber — the colors of pre-war furniture, the tones you reach for when the piece on the bench is older than you are. Twelve different half-length Merit burn-in sticks, about 2¾" each. These are original factory stock, hand-poured and stamp-embossed, every stick cast one at a time.

What a burn-in stick does
A burn-in stick fills chips, gouges, and worn edges with hard resin that takes a finish like the wood around it. Melt a little off the stick with a heated knife, flow it into the damage, level it, and finish over it — the same period-correct shellac-resin chemistry these sticks have carried for the better part of a century.
Limited Heritage Colors
This set exists only as long as the vintage stock does. Several of these colors might not be back in our regular rotation soon, which makes this the best chance at them. Expect a little surface character — pour marks, the odd bubble, an embossed number that stamped a hair off-center. They melt exactly the same.
