Shellac Flakes — Dewaxed

Dewaxed flake is shellac refined for clarity and compatibility. A solvent step lifts out the natural wax, leaving a paler, more transparent resin that dissolves clean in alcohol and lays down a clear film. It is the grade many finishers reach for when shellac's job is to seal and prime beneath another finish, or when a pale wood's own color should come through without warming. The color runs from a near-colorless Platina through a deep garnet.
