Stick Shellac for Woodwind Pads — Amber, Clear, White, Black

Merit Shellac Sticks by Chestnut Hollow. Stick shellac for seating pads — the same product your supplier lists as pad cement or French cement. Melt a little onto the back of the pad, float it in the cup, and it holds until you decide otherwise: heat releases it cleanly and the cup wipes down with alcohol. Amber for tan leather, white for bladder and white leather, black for black pads, and clear.

Also sold as stick shellac, pad cement, or shellac filler stick. Solid resin sticks — no solvent, nothing to evaporate, nothing to spill. Full sticks, 5½ inches, each stamped with its Merit number. A shellac stick is a hard fill that levels and takes finish; a wax fill stick is soft and does neither.
