Thai seedlac. A seedlac from Thailand rather than the Indian harvests — a different host region, a different harvest pattern, and a character of its own. Carried for finishers who want an alternative tone and feel to the Indian-grade seedlacs when a particular result is wanted.
Seedlac is the raw form of shellac — granules screened and washed clean, but not melted into button or stretched into flake. You dissolve, filter, and prepare the cut yourself, which is exactly why finishers who build their own working lacs keep more than one source on the bench.
The Thai harvest carries through to its own cured character — a useful point of difference for anyone refining from source material who wants a second voice alongside the Indian grades.
